WES hosted a Punk Rock Halloween party in late October. We believe that the spirit of punk rock is revolutionary – accessible to everyone, counter cultural, radically accepting, and featuring pro-person politics.
WES leader Lizzy Thorn, a trans musician, performed and discussed her appreciation for WES’ strong community standards and commitment to making safer events. Other performers included Daytime television, Like… With Jetpacks, and punk rock cover band Redbait.
We also sold books about labor history and educated over 50 attendees about our recent activities and pro-worker views.
